Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

MtG artists: Izzy Medrano

Izzy Medrano, credited only as Izzy on his cards, has quietly illustrated over 100 Magic: the Gathering cards over the past few years. His style of work varies from the frantic to the tranquil, making for a fun mix of cards.

Kozilek’s Translator

Affectionately known by many players as ‘rainbow poop’ this creature creates colorless mana, a useful ability to have in the Oath of the Gatewatch set.

Burning-Tree Emissary

An emissary of the Gruul guild walks through the built up areas of Ravnica. This piece manages to convey the dignity of the woman along with her disdain for the artifice around her. One of my favourite Gatecrash arts.

A great example of ‘be careful what you wish for’!

Shardless Agent

No I did not flip the image, this is how it appears on the card!

War Priest of Thune

A battle priest in action.
