The title -when correctly written as ‘Sphinx of Black Quartz, judge my vow’- is an alternative sentence to ‘the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog’ and I think is far superior.
It also inspired the painting of this Age of Sigmar terrain, the last of my Mortal Realms magazine purchases:
The figures are quite large, here are some Bretonnian archers for scale:
There will be one more painting update, and then it’s over. Until I buy more miniatures to paint.
They look great Dave. where did you get them from? I could use some for my Egyptian scenarios.

The were from issue 71 of Mortal Realms, and apart from that I think they only come as part of other Age of Sigmar terrain sets

Yes it seems unreal. Two castle walls in front of me, and since I don’t have the dirty down moss effect, I think I will try and do something similar with contrast paint to break up the grey stone.

I really like the title…..but I’m not sure how it replaces ‘The quick red fox jumps over the lazy brown dog’. The latter has every letter in the alphabet. The former….doesn’t? (unless there are more words that got missed out). Am I missing something obvious/hilarious?

It was my mistake – ‘hear’ should be ‘judge’ which covers all the remaining letters

Came for the cryptic title, stayed for the cool painted minis! 😉 Congrats on the countdown once again!
