The large Age of Darkness boxed set for Horus Heresy provided a lot of models, including the large Spartan Land Raider. This is larger than the version we are used to from Warhammer 40,000.
The first variant for the Spartan was previewed this week on Warhammer Community:
Like the Vindicator in Warhammer 40,000 the Typhon puts a heavy cannon on the front of a familiar vehicle chassis. In this case it’s the heavier Land Raider chassis being converted.
I expect this will be the first of many variants to come.
They missed an opportunity to make the tracks more plausible on the upgrade, in favour of keeping the land raider appearance consistent. You could get a wicked drift on those tracks taking corners at speed 🙂

It’s a great kit. I have the resin Forgeworld version from a few years ago. The thing’s heavy enough I could bash a door down with it.

I am enjoying seeing previously unreachable Forgeworld resin kits appearing in plastic. One of my favourite parts of the new Heresy range.
