New look for chaos cultists

There’s another new Warcry box set on the way – honestly I thought we had a new one last month. You know, the Prime Minister before last.

The interesting thing about it for me is the look of the Tzeentch cultists that come in the box, and will hopefully be sold separately later:

Jade and leather is not the first thing that comes to mind for Tzeentch cultists, but I like the look of these figures.

I expect we will be seeing many painters have a go at this champion over the coming weeks:

There’s more info on these figures, and the skink warband that comes in the same box, at Warhammer Community.

I also noticed them, and am kind of on the fence about them. There’s one thing I don’t like at all, and that’s the studs. Otherwise their great, but as the studs are a major design theme, I don’t know if I like the warband as a whole.. That being said, I love the obelisk dude and that priestess! They look like great painting projects.

Yes, the thing that makes these warbands tempting for me is that they make great individual painting projects!

The new Lizzies, the Chameleon-Skink-Warriors are fantastic though.
I think those are one of the most creative sets that GW has done in a while (the ones in the post). Surely not the best, but for once, I cannot just immedieatly point out where GW has stolen the idea from, as I usally can do.

Did you know that the Slaanesh-cow-main-demon is nothing but a mix from the Persian King Xerxes from the 300 movie combined with the Elder Scrolls Skyrim-Vampire-form? funny how that went.

I have to admit I was so impressed by the cultists that I barely even glanced at the skinks!
