Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

The end is (nearly) here

After over 60 numbered books, the cover art of the final book in the Siege of Terra series (itself the conclusion to the Horus Heresy series) has been revealed:

The Emperor ensconced on his golden thrones, Custodes in attendance, and malcador at his left. A procession of Mechanicus make their way up the stairs.

The twist to this reveal is that the eighth numbered book in the Siege of Terra series is being divided itself into more than one book. The End and the Death is volume I. How many others will follow is yet to be revealed.

I don’t mind if my gigantic space opera series contains 62, 63, or 64 numbered books. But I would like to know when we are likely to see the actual final book.

Warhammer Community has more.

Striking is the seeming size creep for the primarchs and the Emperor. Dude is enormous there. Don’t know how Malcador is going to fit on that throne.

A depressing thought when I realised I only have up to book 43 and always prefer paper over electronic formats

I bought the hardbacks of Slaves to Darkness, Titandeath, and The Buried Dagger because I couldn’t wait! I replaced them with paperbacks once those became available.
