Kill Team space hulk contents

I think of the new Kill Team box as a Space Hulk one, since to me the setting is more important than the name of the game.Games Workshop have revealed the contents of this next box set:

The board is a printed one, not a plastic board, but it looks fine with the terrain there. As someone who doesn’t have a 3D printer, space hulk or space ship interiors have been a key gap in 40k terrain. Here is a closer look at just those pieces:

The article also mentions there will be an expansion set to this space hulk terrain three months after the Kill Team box releases. We live in exciting times!

The FOMO is strong on this one. I love the terrain and setting, but could take or leave (most likely leave) the actual kill teams.

I know what you mean, and I’m wondering whether it’s worth waiting for the terrain to be available separately

Like yourself I’m very intrigued by this one. I’ve often felt that this kind of cramped corridors terrain set-up is something missing from my collection, and this looks perfect both for scratching the itch to skirmish inside a space hulk and for Necromunda (this could just as easily be the depths of an abandoned factory). I’m curious about the announcement that new boxsets will be coming every 3 months, adding more terrain and warbands, and allowing one to build a board that expands in sections. They’ve also announced that this is how they’re going to be doing things for Warcry as well so I wonder how much this is a sign of things to come and if this “part-work” approach is something they intend to roll out to more of their games over time. Exciting times as you say – although how much of it I’ll actually have money/time/space for we’ll have to see! Great warbands as well; kroot have deserved a bit of extra attention for a long time and I love the fact that the Imperial Navy Breachers are naval infantry (ie marines) operating in space (ie space marines) – without actually being Space Marines.

I like the breachers as I think there’s a number of 40k background figures like these that would be good to have

Yeah, this looks pretty cool! The warbands are alright, and the terrain and board would make cool photo backdrops for me. Just have to see how much they want for this…

I’m not looking forward to seeing the Australian price for this… but also I kind of want it!

I had been looking forward to this, but I now realise the reason I’m looking forward to it is the Imperial Navy team. The terrain could possibly fit with Necromunda, but I have so much for that already, I now realise that this box would otherwise be destined for the pile of shame. I think the promise of more in the series actually puts me off further, also…

I’m sure the navy team will be available separately since that has happened with the previous box sets

Yeah, I think that’ll be my plan now, anyway!!
