The real MVP
With all my miniatures being painted (for now!) I was thinking about how I got to this place, and the things that helped along the way. This ruined tower from Games Workshop helped a lot:
The tower has become a regular feature during the painting updates, and has served as background for many fantasy models
It even managed to pass muster for some non-fantasy models too, like Harald Hardrada
I’m not sure how much I will use this in future projects (whatever those may be!) but I can tip a virtual flagon in the direction of this simple yet effective terrain piece.

I hadn’t noticed myself but some comments from John@justneedsvarnish made me look again and realise the tower was like a motif as I painted my way through the collection.
