Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

The real MVP

With all my miniatures being painted (for now!) I was thinking about how I got to this place, and the things that helped along the way. This ruined tower from Games Workshop helped a lot:

The tower has become a regular feature during the painting updates, and has served as background for many fantasy models

It even managed to pass muster for some non-fantasy models too, like Harald Hardrada

I’m not sure how much I will use this in future projects (whatever those may be!) but I can tip a virtual flagon in the direction of this simple yet effective terrain piece.

Agreed! It has been a real centre piece.

I hadn’t noticed myself but some comments from John@justneedsvarnish made me look again and realise the tower was like a motif as I painted my way through the collection.

It’s been a little icon of tranquility in a crazy world! 🙂 I think it’s great!

Congrats on finishing the models! And I’d always enjoyed seeing that piece in the background!

I really like that Tower and also the Graveyard that was produced at the same time. 😁
