Part of making a serious plan to get through your miniatures involves looking at figures you might sell or trade away rather than paint. This was the fate of my Khandish figures for Middle Earth. They were mostly still in their wrapped boxes. The exception was this chariot, which I decided to keep and paint eventually. It has ended up being the last of my Middle Earth collection get painted.
Before I stopped playing I had foolishly assembled this model and glued it to the base you see here. This meant some details on the front of the chariot body were impossible to reach with a brush and also made the horses trickery to paint than they needed to be. Still, the model is painted now, and I forgive my 2009 self his foolishness.
For the banners I went back to my waterslide transfers and found a few I liked. yes, that’s an Eldar transfer on the middle banner. Originally it was meant for an epic titan, so it’s about 30 years old, as are the Bretonnian transfers on the yellow banner.
My collection of Middle Earth miniatures is done, and the count is getting ever lower:
I’ve always liked the look of this chariot and you did a great job painting this one up. Congrats on completing your Middle Earth collection as well!

Yes, maybe I shouldn’t advertise that I have brushes and paint but no miniatures in front of me!
