Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

Harald Hardrada, the younger

I have two historical miniatures remaining, and they are both of the same individual. Harald Hardrada lived an interesting life, going from exile, to captain of the Varangian Guard, to King of Norway, before finally meeting his end in the Battle of Stamford Bridge.

The model below represents Harald in his Varangian days. I used the lighter basing from Geek Gaming, but when it came to a photograph, I realised I don’t’ have any suitable backgrounds for historical models.

Not to worry! I simply turned around the ruined tower, and now we have Harald standing in front of the less-well maintained part of the walls of Constantinople:

With this model painted, the countdown continues:

Looking good! Well-played with the scenery. You’re really chopping through the models!

Nicely done! 🙂 I’m getting excited and we (well, OK, you really) still have 28 to go!
