Naeve Blacktalon and the countdown

No it’s not the name of a prog rock band; I have painted an Age of Sigmar hero I accidently purchased a few months ago:

This figure is mostly armour and the front, and mostly animal pelt at the back, so it was not difficult or fiddly to paint.

The countdown part? Well, I’m getting very close to the end of my miniatures painting run now, and I decided to have a countdown card for the audience. Here is where we stand now, for best effect this should be intoned in a deep voice:

Great work. I am envious of your 30 miniatures to go.

I just have to refuse to buy anything else before I get there – no matter how tempting!

It’s been a fun journey from having just over 1,000 to paint at the start of 2019… almost there now!

It’s a bit of an Alien concept to me – good luck! 😀

Definitely a nice mini! 🙂 I like the term “accidentally purchased”! I’m pretty sure I’ve done that a lot! 😉 To celebrate completing them all you could have a game that uses some of the first minis painted along with some of the last!

I like the game idea, John – also no comment on how many ‘accidents’ there have been along the way!

Very nice. Is she meant to have a face-shaped helmet or is her skin golden?

Amazing that you’re down to just 30 minis on the Pile of Shame- what a testament to the effectiveness of your tray method.

Face-shaped helmet (I hope!). And you’re right, the trays have been working great for me. Back in 2019 I set myself the goal of painting everything in 5 years, but if I push it over the next couple of weeks, I will reach zero models in 3.5 years instead.
