I have continued my recent adventures with underpainting with these two empire gunners:
These models date from late in my involvement in playing Warhammer Fantasy. I had an Empire army planned out, using Games Workshop models only for characters and unit champions, while using Perry historical miniatures for the rest. In the end I decided not to bother and moved on to other games.
The feathers could use some improvement, and unlike with the Bretonnians I recently painted, I went back over the metal parts with some metallic paints, and those big guns didn’t look right to me without it. otherwise it’s mainly Akhelian Green and Nazdreg Yellow contrast paints.
They look great. I can identify with your WHB experience.

Are those conversions? I don’t remember seeing the repeater guns on foot troopers before…

No, single-part metals. As I recall, they came one to a blister.

I recalled wrong! They are part of the old War Wagon crew, which means I must have ordered them as single models back when you could do that. http://www.solegends.com/citcat1992/cat1992p354empartillery-02.htm

Those guns are Huuuge! It makes sense taking a war wagon to carry them, and for something to rest them on!
