Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

Explore fantasy art: Bayard Wu

Bayard Wu is very much an industry veteran, having worked for Blizzard, Wizards of the Coast, and other leading companies. There’s plenty to like in his art gallery, and I am sharing some of my favourites with you here.

Dragonborn by Bayard Wu

The attacking dragon frames the top half of this great scene.

Dinosaurs by Bayard Wu

This one is just called ‘practise’ by the artist, as it wasn’t done for any company. Still one of my favourites though.

Lizardmen by Bayard Wu

The Warhammer Total War games have loading screens that change based on the faction you are playing. Turns out, Bayard Wu illustrated many of them, such as this one showing the Lizardmen of Lustria marching to war.

Dark Wolves by Bayard Wu

Another untitled piece from the artist, I like the menace coming from these creatures.

Norsca by Bayard Wu

Another Warhammer: Total War loading screen, this one for the Norsca faction of the icy north.

You can see more art, including larger versions of the images featured here, at Bayard Wu’s ArtStation page.

Yes, I especially liked seeing the Total War loading screens by themselves, really impressive.

Very cool. I like all those pieces and hadn’t even heard of the artist!
