Aleksi Briclot playmats

Aleksi Briclot illustrated the first planeswalker cards for Magic: the Gathering, and the characters and the card type have gone on to become central to the game. The artist now has a Kickstarter project up to supply playmats featuring the five original artworks.

Here’s the original artwork for one of the five, Liliana Vess:

As the artworks were made for vertically-oriented cards, the card has been extended to better suit the horizontal dimensions of a playmat, for example with this Liliana piece:
