From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.
These previews went live in the middle of the working day for me, so other than a few pics glimpsed at lunch, I didn’t get an appreciation for these until several hours later. On the internet that’s far too late!
Overall I thought the preview had some varied and interesting models, plus a new boxed set and a new games system. I’m going to cover the previews that stood out for me. You can see the full article along with the preview video at Warhammer Community.
First, we knew it was coming, but it’s nice to see the Ash Wastes box set plus contents:
Maybe it’s the colour choice here but the terrain looks very ‘Star Wars’ to me. Not a criticism, just an observation. The box set features an Orlock gang against Ash Waste nomads, and includes insectoid steeds and bikes:
I dread to think the cost in Australia, but this looks like a fun boxed set.
Next up was not much of a reveal in terms of models, but a revamped game system:
There’s a cinematic to watch, and no doubt we will see more leading up to a retail release in a few months’ time.
The last thing that made me sit up is a new Blood Bowl team:
The Norse are coming back to Blood Bowl, but whether it’s the same list currently in the teams of legend supplement, or something new remains to be seen. Some people received Yhetee models from Forgeworld without having ordered them a couple of months ago, so the team is not a surprise, but it’s still nice to see.
No doubt we’ll see another set of previews in about 3 months’ time!
