Early reviews of Two Thin Coats

The most recent update indicates the Two Thin Coats range will ship to Kickstarter backers starting at the end of March, so I’m expecting to be able to review them sometime in April – May if delivery is slow. Yeah, probably June.

A couple of YouTubers were fortunate to see a pre-production version of the range at a recent convention in the US. So there are some early videos putting the paints through their paces.

The range will be distributed in the US by Asmodee, so it looks like there will be a fairly big store presence. Initial impressions look good, although the blues could be stronger, and it would be nice to have some turquoise and khaki in the range.

I also watched paint being put back over a previous layer of paint which had dried, and the first layer didn’t reactivate, which is a thing we have to watch out for now.

My pledge includes the full range, so I will use each of the paints at least once.

Thanks Dave. After enjoying the reviews, these appeal to me more than Contrast or “Speed” paint, so I’m really sorry I didn’t go for that set of 15 on the Kickstarter.

With Asmodee handling distribution I think these will be easy to pick up after release. Kickstarter backers received an update today to say that shipping of full sets will begin in April so it will probably be May before my reviews go up
