The plastic Krieg miniatures are well and truly in the market now, and Guy from Midwinter Minis has a new video up showing how to paint them with a light-coloured jacket.
One of the more interesting bits for me was when Guy went through the 10 paints he was using, which included Vallejo’s Charred Brown. I bought this colour many years ago and found it too thin out of the bottle. I had a clear out of paints last week-end and Charred Brown went along with about 20 dried or partly-dried pots of GW paint (never again!).
This video encouraged me to fish Charred Brown back out of the bin. With my heavy use of Contrast Paints I should probably give this another chance as a dark leather. A stay of execution- for now!
