Black Library are having another round of open submissions – between 27 October and 9 November this year, you can submit a 50 word short story proposal along with a 500-word sample of writing.
From the article:
“We would like to see unique stories that fully embrace the spirit of Warhammer Age of Sigmar’s new edition and its developing narrative – tales that capture the essence of the realm in which they’re set. If what we read impresses us, we will ask to see more, and your story could even be published.”
If you ever fancied seeing your name on the author line of a Black Library publication, it’s time to get writing!

Omg I love the Warhammer books, but after reading my favourites such as Dan Abnett and Sandy Mitchell, I wonder if I can even make it. I would try if this announcement didn’t take me by surprise. I don’t think I’ll have time to study the Age of Sigmar. Anyway, thanks for this post!

I’m looking at it in two ways: 1. they will never print my words if I never send them any, and 2. Age of Sigmar is something comparatively fewer players are familiar with, so reading up and writing in that setting should be a good use of time.

You have a way of persuading me, lol. Maybe I should try.
