Big base, small snotlings

I found these half dozen models while sifting through my bits boxes. I don’t recall where or how I acquired these. It must have been some kind of miniature swap. Perhaps I wanted more variety for Warhammer Quest snotlings? I’ve never used a greenskin army, so that was not the reason. Anyway, here they are…

I put them all on a large circular base. These are metal models, and they all came with little knobbly bits under their feet. I think this means they were originally pump wagon crew? I don’t know who would have even traded such models away!

The base came with a bunch or pre-drilled holes which I was able to get the snotlings into after a bit of fiddling. The isea with this base is that some snotlings are breaking rocks, others are turning them into missiles, and two are actually flingin those missiles around.

A fun little project!

Cute little snotters there, Dave! The originals could have those knobs clipped off for Pump Wagons, or have them used to go into the peg holes in an old-school 40mm square base.

  3. I had some of those! They seem like the swarm kind that would go into a large square base…

Sounds about right, they look like they should be a swarm!

I miss the old Warhammer “swarm” units like Snotlings, rats, lizards, etc. These little runts look great 🙂
