Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

Modelling inspired by Blanche

John Blanche has often been a divisive figure in games Workshop, as some people love his art and others hate it. I prefer Ian Miller myself, but overall I like his art, and his influence on Warhammer 40,000 especially is undeniable.

Warhammer Community recently featured a post with modelling examples inspired by Blanche’s artwork. In this case it was the Adeptus Mechanicus who received some heavy conversion work to make them closer to the artwork.

Here’s one example of the work inspired by the image above:

A couple of Cawdor gangers, some skitarii heads, and a whole lot of cables went into bringing this pair to life. There’s more of this kind of thing to see at Warhammer Community.
