Arta Monday: Horus versus The Emperor

Games Workshop’s epic Horus Heresy series is still building to its climax, with over 60 books in the series so far. The Siege of Terra will wrap things up, although we already know how the story ends.

This epic art from Adrian Smith is quite old now and yet the characters are recognisable. The primarch Sanguinius lies dead at the feet of Horus, grown huge from his chaotic corruption. Horus now faces The Emperor in a clash only one of them will survive.

Exactly how this scene will play out in the books is not yet known, but the series has been building to this moment for over a decade now. I can’t wait!

After being roped into a Horus Heresy campaign recently, I got back into the books as well. A 60-part book series really is quite well suited as painty-time background noise – pretty much never-ending and with zero decisions to be made along the way.

I’ve only read the books, so I guess the audiobooks are okay then?

For sure! The audiobook production and narration holds a more even quality than the books themselves 😀
