A trio of chaos knights

I have completed three of the chaos knights from the Slaves to Darkness Start Collecting set.

Only three because these were taking so long to paint that I divided the group of 5 into two smaller groups. The other two will be coming…soon.

They took ages to paint and were also awkward to photograph too. The ‘background’ here is the underside of the ruined tower that features so often in my miniature photos. If you ever wondered what that looked like, now you know.

I took them under the house to a location with more natural light and tried again.

The models are very dark, with the blue on their robes and the yellow-green on the steed tails providing a few bright spots of colour, along with the lance tips. I used the fancy Gamers Grass tufts again. I think these will feature across the army.

Very nice! 🙂 The grass tufts look really good in this setting as well!

Very nice. Although not my favourite army to play against, I’ve always been a big fan of chaos knights no matter what iteration. They are one model that always seems to be well done.

Yes, I really like these models even if they do take ages to paint up. I also have some of the early 90s metals under the house.

Chaos Knights always look cool and I’m still a big fan of those tufts. They just scream chaos!

Yes I have enough to do my current crop of chaos models, but if I expand the force I will buy more to keep the look
