As I continue dithering over whether to leap into buying a 3D printer, this video from Geek Gaming Scenics was well-timed. Here’s Luke talks about his experiences with various models over the past 12 months, and talks frankly about where he sees these in terms of their readiness for general use.
It’s interesting to see tis kind of practical perspective, and it seems to me that both the makers of 3D printers and creators of 3D print files are moving forwards in terms of user friendliness.
You too on the should I/shouldn’t I on the 3D printer. I’ve been mulling buying an Elegoo Mars for months, and I can’t make up my mind. Thanks for sharing this video, it was a good one with the producers experiences.

I saw that video, but it’s still too much faffing about for the time being. I don’t have enough time for another hobby right now. Hopefully soon they move to P&P, though.

I think the faff level is getting closer to that of the average barbeque. Once I can plug in a usb, select a file, and have it print with a 90% certainty I’ll be in.
