In many ways it’s for the best that I can’t play Diablo II on Steam. That platform would happily show me all the hours of my life I have wasted invested into this game.
I was… interested if not excited by the new last week-end of Diablo II resurrected. This remake of the original I enjoyed so much is coming out later this year, at a date so far unspecified. On one hand I would mind playing this game again. On the other, after seeing the mess Blizzard made of Warcraft III. I’m happy to let others try it out before I jump in.
The trailer looks good to me, as I’m happy to see a re-presentation of the game with minimal attempts at ‘improvements’ A larger stash would have been nice, though.
I won’t pre-order this – because why be part of the problem? – but I will keep an eye on the website, and see if the finished product is something I want. Also, this game is one of my mother’s favourites, so if I can get her a new game (at the age of 85!) that we can play together, I’ll be happy.
I’m happy to play this again, but I’ll wait to hear what it’s like. (Also considering the Warcraft 3 mess) I only started Diablo 3 last year and spent a lot more time with it than I expected to. I can’t run 2 on my PC, so going back would be nice.
I really, REALLY want a redone graphics updated version of Diablo 1 though. That I’d probably pre-order!

Loved Diablo 2 back in the day so I should be very excited for this… I’ve not much faith in Blizzard these days though. Fingers crossed they do a good job with this one!

Yes, I figure if they do a good job it’s great news, and if not, I’ll still have the memories!
