Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

Explore fantasy art: Igor Sid

Games Workshop aren’t the best when it comes to crediting their artists, so I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a lot of the newer art I enjoy is the work of Igor Sid. He also illustrates beyond Games Workshop.

Igor Sid has illustrated box and book covers for both Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar, showing off epic battles between good and evil.

Games Workshop aren’t his only client, and he switches between grand artworks with a dazzling array of colours to using a very limited palette.

Looncurse by Igor Sid

The Looncurse image above is a great example with a lot of green shades contrasted by the red skin of the squig.

Igor Sid’s ArtStation page also includes individual character work, both personal and commissioned.

Definitely an artist to watch out for!
