Once upon a Wednesday: Inspiration

Inspiration. It’s the key to my hobby growth and enjoyment. I get inspiration from many places; fantasy art, new miniature releases or projects, other people’s models, and more.

In 2017 I started a series called ‘the week in Inspiration’ as an attempt to document some of these sources. Here is the first article.

Ultimately the series didn’t last, as trying to group things into a single article led me to sitting on some things for too long, and then adding others that I might not have ordinarily added.

These days I simply use ‘Inspiration’ as a post tag, and then post what I want whenever. It’s the source of many of my mid-week posts.

What I found from my attempt at this series was that if you try to make inspiration stick to a schedule, you’ll rarely get inspired.

😀 Funny how inspiration doesn’t act like a pet 😀

I’ve learned that when I am feeling it and the words want to pour out, that I better get them all out, right then or else I’ll end up with half a post that never gets finished.

So true! I’ve lost more than one article by procrastinating when I should have simply written it first, and then improved it later.
