Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

Talisman Adventurers

How long have I had these models? Let’s see. I received these as part of a pack of 8 models as an engagement present, and this year will be our 22nd anniversary. So, a fair while.

They are painted now though! These two models were meant to be the metal alternate versions for Talisman characters, If you didn’t like the cardboard standees the game used, you could buy the miniatures from Games Workshop, either individually or in groups.

In this case, the Centaur and the Soldier characters are from the Talisman Adventures expansion.

For the Soldier’s shield, I broke out something slightly older, my waterslide transfers. After a it of looking through them, I picked the tower design.

I have about 80 sheets the size of the ones above, in a lot of different designs. I should really use them more, they still work fine, after all.

These two form part of my ‘fantasy heroes’ project, which is still ongoing, but almost complete now. Looking at the original group shot below, I think there are now just two models outstanding.

These are some classic sculpts and it is cool seeing the group shot. Now you just gotta knock out those last couple so you can all this project done! 🙂
