Darkest Dungeon isn’t a computer game I’ve played, but I have admired its art style and general look and feel. You can see even on the Steam page that the game’s makers went for a particular look.
Now there’s a Kickstarter project to turn Darkest Dungeon into a board game. It looks good, and is being handled by French developers Mythic Games, who have a good track record of delivering on Kickstarter projects.
Here’s everything you’re getting in the core pledge as I type this:
This includes goals already met. There are of course numerous add-ons available for those who want to jump in all the way.
You can check out all details at the Darkest Dungeon project page on Kickstarter.
This looks incredible. I’d highly recommend the video game, it’s very addictive

I haven’t played the video game, but I have seen it several times in passing. It’s always neat to see these things turn into franchises, so-to-speak.

Some games like Dark Souls haven’t made the jump to board games very successfully but this one would definitely stand out if it captures the game. A very challenging and unforgiving dungeon crawler sounds like a lot of fun to me!
