An alert popped up in January of 2019, telling me I had reached the milestone of 1,000 posts on Scent of a Gamer.
At the time I took a look over some of my most popular posts to date by page views, and then talked about some of my favourite posts.
It’s less than two years later but I would not write the post that way today. Milestones for me now have changed into something else. I have my trays to mark my progress through painting my collection.
One thing these pop ups from WordPress do, is encourage me to think about what I do like about my blog, and blogging in general. In summary, it’s not the blog, it’s the interactions with other bloggers that I value.
I’m less concerned with getting to a certain number of posts, or making sure I post something about a particular topic. As we move from 2020 into 2021, I am thinking about how the blog can be steered more by the audience than by me. I’m not sure what that means yet and I will talk more about this next January when I have a better idea.
1,000 posts?! And that was last year? That’s crazy. Congrats on your amazing output. Thought I’d stop by and interact a little with you since you enjoy it. Keep up the great work!

Will be interested to see what your personal review comes up with in January Dave but 1000 posts, more than that now of course, is some landmark.
