Once upon a Wednesday: abandoned projects

Last month I painted Feora, a war machine character. It’s been some time since I last painted a character from this range.

In 2014, I painted another character from the same faction:

Like Feora, this was a two-piece metal model that was straightforward to assemble and paint. Also like Feora this is in contrast to many models in the range.

I ultimately abandoned my war machine projects, and stopped playing that game at all.The models stay around though, and maybe when I get through my current collection, I will revisit this one with the paint brush.

The motto here is ‘don’t be afraid to change course’. Yes I had plans and a whole project announced. Ultimately other projects were worth the follow through, and this one wasn’t.

I think we’ve all been there Dave! 🙂 I had two false starts decades ago on the Great Paraguayan War, gave up both times, and then finally got a big chunk done in the last three years, so that I’m now just adding units as I feel inclined!
