Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

Plasma regulator 2

I’ve painted the second of my four plasma regulators. After getting some feedback on the first one, I added some subtle grime effects to the second…

…however these turned out to be too suble! I may give both of these a pass with some brown/orange grime colours in the near future

For now they both look fine, especially in monochrome:

The grime experience gives me an idea for taking the final two plasma regulators in a different direction. Hopefully I will have something to show you on that next week-end.

The extra shading helps! 🙂 I think you could apply more if you want and if you really want to take it even further, drybrush the edges of the terrain lightly with a lighter metallic color and then it will really pop! I look forward to seeing how you tackle the other two terrain pieces.

    Those look great.

They could possibly takle more weathering as they are pretty fresh as is. Would be a shame to obscure the paint job you gave them though.
