Once upon a Wednesday #2: Space Hulk

One of my painting goals in 2017 was to paint 100 models. Another, nested within that, was to finish my copy of Space Hulk.

I succeeded at reaching the 100 models count, but looking back I’m much happier about having finished the Space Hulk box set.

As with the Malifaux Outcasts, there are things I would do differently now, but all in all I’m happy with how they came out. Having picked up the box in 2009, I was also happy to have them painted within 10 years of purchase!

Very nice!!! I have ‘Space Crusade’ and I’ve wanted to paint the space marines ever since I bought it. Since I started running other stuff (notably Gamma World) I’d like to paint up all the genestealers too. (I did paint the necrons & dreadnought last year, but they were relatively quick and easy) This would be a great project if I’m at home more often in the coming months due to Coronavirus.

Space Crusade would make a great painting project as there is so much variety among the models, even if there are 15 marines to paint!

Very cool stuff, Dave – and despite taking 10 years to do it, you’re still 100% forther ahead than I am, having not started on a single model from the box yet – so congrats on getting them done in a pretty timely manner! 🙂
