Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

Blackstone Fortress: X-101 painted

The first model I have completed from the Blackstone Fortress: Escalation set is the servitor, X-101.

This model did not take me long to paint – black undercoat, pick out all the metal parts, put Nuln Oil over that, and then lightened it back up. The suit was painted in Sotek Green, while for the skin I used Olive Skin and Mouldy Flesh from the Reaper Master Series paints, followed by a wash of Reikland Fleshshade.

The light on his back I painted in a dull yellow which doesn’t really come through in these images. As with my previous Blackstone Fortress project, I will leave the basing until the end and do all the models at once.

I started this model by watching a painting video, but then ended up going in a different direction in terms of colours

However I would still say the video helped me get started on the model, and clarified for me how I wanted this one to look.

Nice work, and I prefer your scheme to the one in the tute!
