Bones: blue dragon

I completed the last model from by Bones III Kickstarter pledge; this rather large dragon.

He dominates the ruined tower I usually use for fantasy figures. Clearly I need some larger photo props!

I had a lot of dun painting this, and mainly used a drybrish technique I picked up from watching a YouTube video. I won’t claim to have reproduced the technique perfectly, but what I achieved took less time that I had thought.

I found it to be a refreshing second look at a technique I had used only in the ‘messy’ way in the past.

    Great looking dragon. I need to pull my finger out once I get going again and get some more of these large models done, and this sort of thing makes for great inspiration!
