My current collection of plague marines is all painted up now. Here they are in a single group:
This photo tells me a couple of things. The first is that I need some more of those zone mortalis tiles.
The second is that I could use a painted background or two for when the height of the models or scenery I want to photograph demands it. The pale garage walls don’t cut it.
I have some old packing boxes under the house (don’t we all?) and I might break out the craft paints and get a couple of quick background done.
Instead of back and white I played with those iphone filters and took this shot in something called “warm vivid”
I have to admit; I don’t hate it.
The army is looking brilliant so far, can’t beat a group shot! The filter really works too

Nice to see them all out on the tiles! 🙂 I’ll be honest, “warm vivid” doesn’t work for me, but it’s only a filter!

All good John, I just couldn’t resist playing with the filters!

They look great all together like that. I’m always a sucker for painted army shots and this one is no exception.
is that a set of four tiles? I was tempted to get enough to cover a 6×4, but then worked out that even at a price I could (probably) get them for it would be $450, so retought that particular idea.

Yes it’s just the 4 tiles. I was similarly tempted, but I am also holding off for the time being.
