Blackstone Fortress complete

A boxed set painted within a year of purchase is an oddity for me, as my unpainted Blood Bowl and Warhammer Quest sets from 2016 can attest.

Blackstone Fortress has made it though:

I enjoyed painting these figures a lot. They are all quite different and allowed me to try new things. I would say the figures I’m happiest with are the three chaos marines:

There’s no models I dislike though. Here are all of the heroes together:

Of these I would nominate the Navigator as my favourite:

I’m going to mark this project as complete, and if I pick up any of the expansions I’ll list those separately.

Outstanding work, Dave. Not only getting an entire boardgame painted, but doing it to such a high level of quality as well. Great work, mate!

Exceptional work – both in detail and getting the whole set done. I’m very impressed.

Well done, that’s an excellent achievement! Painted within a year of being purchased is something most of my miniatures can only dream of 😋 Watching this project develop has been big inspiration on me whilst I’ve been working on my own Blackstone Valley set, I’ll have to bash on and get it done too now.
