I’ve painted up a enough of the terrain I own to feel like looking at how it all comes together.
The ash wastes terrain, made with science-fiction (or grimdark) settings in mind, consists of 16 tiles, which make a 4′ x 4′ table:
closer up, it looks like this:
These are 16 tablescapes tiles from Secret Weapon, in case you were wondering. Next, we add some terrain:
Here’s another shot from a different angle, and in monochrome
The first thing I think is that I need to paint more terrain! I thought I’d picked up a lot, but this amounts to a mechanicum outpost, built perhaps unwisely on a planet thought long-dead.

Here’s a closer shot:
Looks good, but now I look at it all together it seems more like a good start than the finished article!
Nice table there Dave. The terrain is certainly a good start even if it doesn’t fill up a huge amount of the table yet.

Yes, when I laid it all out I was surprised how little space it occupied! That was 4 boxes’ worth.

I guess it’s because you made two large pieces that use a ton of parts. You could space even those two out with a ramp/walkway and they’d instantly take up quite a bit more table.

True, and if I buy another box I will definitely look at ways of maximising the space used, with those ones I pretty much followed the illustrated instructions.

Great looking tiles. Pretty much my dream of what the Ash wastes would look like.
