Van Saar gang complete

The gang had a poor start where some elementary modelling mistakes on my part (i.e. did not read instructions before assembly!) turned a box of 10 gangers into a box of 5.

I thought I had a paint scheme all figured out but on the first model it all started to look a bit naff, so I changed course, and then changed course again.

So what I ended up with is a kind of colour-coded class system, where the basic gangers are in grey, the special weapon gangers get to wear green, while the gang leader is in red.

If I had my time over I’d probably just do the whole gang in green as I think that scheme worked best, although I must admit I don’t mind the grey.

Of course if I really had my time over we’d have a gang of 10 rather than 5, but sometimes it just doesn’t go according to plan.

Looking good, even if the colour variation wasn’t planned at first!! Got any plans on how to work with the 5 left over hangers yet?

Actually I made such a mess of the assembly that I’m not sure they can be rescued – I glued the torsos together without putting in the neck pieces first!

Oh shoot. I think I might have cracked open a torso, when I had to get some embedded magnets out, but yea that will mess things up. I forgot I had made a mess of the arms mostly, when I got back to painting them.

I don’t think you are alone mate when it comes to things not going according to plan but your perseverance certainly produced 5 very nice figures even if the aim was for 10.

Yes, I am happy enough with what I got and they’ll be used for something.

They look really good. I actually think that the red and yellow of the leader is the nicest scheme, though it is probably not the best camouflage in the underhive.

Yea, I agree with AB, like that yellow and red color scheme. Since they are the gang leader, and potentially hiding in back, camoflauge isn’t a huge concern.
