Neglected models: Spyrer Matriarch

The matriarch is another example of a model I bought for a project I no longer remember. Maybe a chaos cultist leader? Who knows. At one point I even undercoated the model and made a start on a red cloak. Since then she has languished in the depths of bits boxes.

Now, she has a new and dull coat of paint:

Spyrer Matriarch: acquired circa 2005, painted 2018

I kept the colours deliberately dull, with only the green being truly bright, especially on her sword.

Unlike other neglected models, you’ll note this one has a completed base too. I saved up and did five of them at once. Here’s a group shot:

It was satisfying to get these models completed after so many years. I’ll have a another group of neglected models along shortly.

Nice work – is that a conversion, or an actual Citadel Miniature? I don’t think I’ve seen that one before, though I know there was a much later wave of Necromunda minis released when I wasn’t buying or paying attention for a few years there.

It was released during the short period of Fanatic Games where they produced some of their own models.
