Tabletop terrain: ammo crates

One part of the Build & Paint kits I liked was the ammo crates that came as extras in the sets. Unlike the other Build & Paint inclusions, I hadn’t seen these ones before. They make for interesting scatter terrain for any futuristic game.

The crates can be either opened or closed:

Not the most exciting things to paint, but they were able to be done in between other models.

Nice work on those. They were originally released around the mid-late 1990s in a polybag, so good to see them back in commission.

Yeah, not glamorous but they have a use, so I’m happy to have them.

Wow, those would work nicely with Necromunda (or other games)! I’ve kind of been enjoying painting some non-figure stuff. It tends to be a lot easier and quicker. I might start alternating figure painting with terrain/object painting to keep myself from getting too burnt out.

      It’s definitely working for me!
