The 2018 painting continues as I finally put the finishing touches to the first Dwarfs of the Blood Bowl team I bought early in 2017. I won’t lie, these guys lingered on my paint tray as the colour scheme didn’t work as well as I’d hoped. In the end I swallowed my pride and finished them off.
My favourite part is how the stone bases came out. Once the team is done they will look ready for the dungeon. For now these four will stay on the painting tray, behind their unpainted team mates.

Not being a real aesthetically oriented guy, what about their color scheme doesn’t work for you?

They look pretty good to me – though I know well that sometimes the only way to get a figure or figures finished is to make yourself knuckle down and get them done.

Agreed, I liked them a lot more once I added the leather after looking at the turquoise for a couple of months, and then even more once I painted the stone bases.

Yeah, sometimes you need to get through a rough patch to get to the finished picture. Happily, these ones look great!

I’m still working on my team of Dwarves too. They are a little more difficult to paint, than say the Orc team, so there is that. I like your blue/silver color scheme. I went gold and red,
which I’m kind of torn on.

They look fine to me and I agree that the stone came out really good. I also like the beards.
