Decembruary update: Goremaw begins

My Decembruary entry took a back seat while I assembled all my models acquired this year. With the assembly completed I can turn my attention back to my chosen entry: Goremaw.

I haven’t painted much so far, so this is a much earlier work in progress (wip) than I usually show:

The grey is deliberate as I want this model to blend in to my ash wastes terrain boards, rather than as a dungeon piece.

Plenty of work left to do. All that I’ve managed to far is to paint the scales grey and make a start to the shading. In the background of this second shot, you can see some piles of treasure and some chests. Ash wastes or dungeon, the monster is still guarding treasure!

It’s been a fun model to paint so far, the first coats were done using liquitex paints and terrain brushes!
