ArtStation stop: Peter Mohrbacher

I’ve previously covered Peter Mohrbacher as a Magic: the Gathering artist. However he’s given that up and these days focuses on his Angelarium website, featuring fantastical art of angels. Here are five from his ArtStation page:

Bezaliel, Angel of Shadow

An otherworldly creature slips into reality in this piece.

The Driftwood Cathedral

All the Angelarium pieces have a sombre tone, but it’s especially strong in this piece showing a lonely building with a single figure next to it. The flowing robes blend into the driftwood scattered around.

Gadreel, Angel of War

The contrast is strong in this piece with the bright red suggesting blood. Fitting for the angel of war.

Rahab, Angel of the Deep

This figures drifts under the ocean looking quite at home in the depths.

Suchlaph, Angel of Verdancy

This piece does away with the sombre tones and brightens everything up for the angel of verdancy.
