Hex Kit mapbuilder program on Kickstarter

This is a useful Kickstarter for anyone into running or designing RPG campaigns, or simply anyone who enjoys making up their own maps (guilty!).

hexkit_art

Hex Kit is a mapmaking program that used hand-drawn hex tiles as the basis. These are created and then scanned in to the program by the creator. It gives the maps a great ‘notebook’ look, if you know what I mean.

There are a lot of tiles to choose from. A $20 pledge gives you the program along with 800 4,000 hex tiles. The program is already built and running, so delivery will be fast. Hex Kit runs on PC, Mac or Linux, head over to the Hex Kit project page for more info.

I remember many years ago buying hex paper at the game store and drawing my own maps. I would have loved something like this back then.
