Rebecca Guay returns to Magic

It has been a long time since new art from Rebecca Guay featured in a Magic: the Gathering set. If you check out Rebecca’s web presence you’ll see that this simply hasn’t been her focus for many years now.

I was delighted to see the following set of basic lands in the Commander 2016 set:

These all look great and are something quite special. They would be more impressive were they full art lands, but that’s a conversation for another time. Since the Battle for Zendikar block I have moved completely to full art basic lands, but there’s no denying these are pleasing to the eye.

Hopefully we will see more like this in the future.
