Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

MtG artists: Chris Rallis

Chris Rallis’ illustration first appeared during the Khans of Tarkir block, and have featured in every set since. His art tends towards strong single figures, though this is not the only composition you’ll see. Below are five of my favourites.

Deathbringer Regent

This art is a promo piece and so different from the ‘normal’ card art. This practise seems to be dying out, like the aven in this art work.

Gibbering Fiend

The creature races through the streets of towns in Innistrad, collecting more ears for its necklace.

Harnessed Lightning

The energy-rich plane of Kaladesh is home to many magical inventors, like this mage.

Kaya, Ghost Assassin

Living on the plane of Kiora, with its many intrigues, provides a good amount of work of Kaya. She is an assassin of ghosts, not an assassin who is a ghost. I feel the need to say that.

Throne Warden

This soldier is also from Kiora, and is sworn to defend the throne, regardless of who currently sites there.
