Scent of a Gamer

From the computer to the tabletop, this is all about games. Updated each week-end.

MtG artists: Chase Stone

Chase Stone’s art has enriched Magic’s recent sets, and looks set to do so into the future. His individual character cards are some of my favourites in recent sets.

Saheeli Rai (Kaladesh)

I’m cheating with this one; this is preview art for the forthcoming Kaladresh set, but I liked it so much I had to include it. This art features a new Planeswalker and is my current desktop background.

Essence Depleter (Oath of the Gatewatch)

One of Kozilek’s minions on the ruined plane of Zendkar.

Feldon of the Third Path (Commander 2014)

The 2014 Commander sets all featured planeswalkers as their commanders. However there were also legendary creature cards, including this one from the red set. I love the windows in this piece.

Dragonlord Ojutai (Dragons of Tarkir)

Ojutai is just as ruthless as the other dragonlords of Tarkir, but he has a focus on acquiring wisdom too. This leads Narset, one of his more gifted students, along an unexpected path.

Risen Sanctuary (Return to Ravnica)

The Selesnya guild can bring their own buildings to life if they need extra defences.
