Tony DiTerlizzi is credited as simply ‘DiTerlizzi’ on the Magic cards he has illustrated – almost 100 – over the years. His art is o a style not generally seen on Magi cards these days, with a whimsical charm and a simplicity that belies a deep level of detail. Hre are five of my favourites from this artist:
Angelic Blessing
DiTerlizzi illustrated many cards for the Portal set, which was released in the late 90s as a way of introducing new players to the game.
Elvish Ranger
Another portal card showing a rather well-dressed elf.
Merfolk of the Pearl Trident
There have been several different versions of this card. DiTerlizzi illustrated this one which was included in a 1999 Starter set.
Song of Serenity
I assume the elf in this art is listening to the song rather than singing it.
Vine Trellis
Elves, merfolk, and goblins make up the bulk of cards illustrated by Tony DiTerlizzi, and this is reflected in these selections.
