The Bones 3 Kickstarter is live. It funded in just under 2 minutes, which does not surprise me at all. We’ll see where the project finally ends up, I’m thinking between 1.8 and 2.2 million. Possibly that is too low.
In case you don’t know, Bones is a soft plastic that allows a level of detail comparable to a metal mould. The material is also cheap and Bones figures, especially the larger ones, are available for far less than their resin, hard plastic, or metal equivalents.
Bones begins with your $100 pledge. The more people pledge, the more everyone receives. It’s a win-win design that (IMO) more projects would do well to follow. In addition to your $100 amount, there are various add-ons that can be purchased too. Or you can forget the $100 and make your entire order from just the add-ons. The existing Bones range can be found at the Reaper website here, and includes models from the first two Bones kickstarters.
