Painting models for War Machine is very much a one-at-a-time process for me. To get into the game I bought an entire Menoth army, and I am slowly adding more models to that, though there really is no rush. Eventually I will have an army painted entirely by me and I will move the first army on.
The latest model to get painted is the mercenary Gorman di Wulfe. This solo was used very effectively against me in a recent Who’s the Boss? tournament. Talking with my opponent after the game, I realised Gorman would also work for my army, and the model became part of the birthday haul.
I used some of my old Games Workshop paints on this model, specifically a mix of Charadon Granite and the old foundation blue on the cloak, highlighted with the Horror Blue paint from the Edge Paint range.
An interestimg mini. Does he throw a stick granade? His outfit reminds me a bit of the spanish inquisition. I think you did a good job bringing in some variation in using different subdued colours. This way the details pop, but the overall look is one of a character shrouded in mystery.

Yes, he can throw three different types of grenade, so I have three different coloured vials at his belt to represent that. Thanks for the feedback, I really enjoyed painting this one.
